Annual Parade Of Lights Dinner Returns To Maritime Museum Of San Diego December 8 & 15

Front Row Seat to Dine & Enjoy Peace on Earth-Themed Bay Boat Parade

San Diego, CA – Maritime Museum of San Diego, with an international reputation for excellence in restoring, maintaining, and operating historic vessels including the world’s oldest active sailing ship, Star of India, invites the community to enjoy the 54th Annual Parade of Lights Dinner staged aboard the elegant Victorian-era 1898 steam ferryboat Berkeley Sundays, December 8 and 15, 2024. Parade judges will be nested at the Maritime Museum as the brightly decorated boats cruise by the Museum fleet located at Star of India Wharf between Grape and Ash Street. The procession of boats starts at 5:30 p.m. and will follow a predetermined parade route. The parade route organizers project the parade to pass the north embarcadero and Maritime Museum of San Diego at approximately 6:20 p.m.

Maritime Museum of San Diego has been known for years as the best place on the waterfront to view the annual Parade of Lights on San Diego Bay. Guests will enjoy a delicious holiday dinner buffet including smoked ham & roast turkey with giblet gravy, mashed potatoes, French green beans, winter blend salad, cranberry relish, rolls & butter chip, holiday cake, coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate and hot cider. A vegetarian grilled tofu and vegetables option will also be available. A no-host bar will also be available starting at 5:00 p.m. and close shortly after the parade ends. Parade of Lights Dinner tickets are a great value and include the evening activities with dinner and boat parade viewing. Museum general admission is also included in Parade of Lights tickets which may be enjoyed the day of between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. before the Parade of Lights Dinner on Sunday, December 8 and 15, 2024. Dinner guest check in as at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be served 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Parties of eight (8) or more may reserve dedicated tables. Parties less than 8 will be seated with other parties for the dinner. Seating charts and reservations are available HERE. Guests will enjoy a scrumptious and festive catered served buffet before relaxing and enjoying the waterfront views as the skies darken and the holiday boat parade preparations unfold and transition into a delightful holiday waterfront show. Comfortable shoes and warm jackets or sweaters are recommended.

Parade of Lights Dinner tickets are $70.00 for adults, seniors 62+, students 13-17 and military and $35.00 for children 12 and under. Maritime Museum of San Diego member tickets are $65.00 for adults, seniors 62+, students 13-17 and military, and $30.00 for 12 and under. Children under 2 are free. The Museum is open Sunday, December 8 and 15, 2024 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
