Docent Led, Adult Groups 10+
The Maritime Museum of San Diego has designed this guided tour for community groups, or groups traveling to the region for conferences and meetings (for example.) Guided tours are led by trained and knowledgeable museum docents who bring history to life through storytelling and re-enactment. Tours typically encompass visits to several vessels including Star of India, HMS Surprise, San Salvador, B-39 Soviet-era submarine, the 1898 Victorian-era steam ferryboat Berkeley and the 1904 Medea.
Time will also be spent in our galleries and exhibits focused on a wide variety of maritime topics and displayed within the collection of vessels.
Docent led guided tours are two hours and can begin between 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
