America’s Schooner Cup Has Concluded for 2026
Thank you to everyone who joined us aboard Californian, the official tall ship of the state of California, for the 38th Annual America’s Schooner Cup. It was a memorable day on the water as schooners of many sizes and vintages raced off Shelter Island in one of San Diego’s most celebrated regattas.
Guests enjoyed a rare opportunity to experience the excitement from the deck of Californian, with front-row views of the fleet under sail while helping support a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the event benefit the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, which provides assistance to active duty and retired service members and their families.
While the 2026 sailing has concluded, future participation opportunities may return. We encourage guests to check back or join our email list to be the first to hear about upcoming special events and possible future Schooner Cup sailings.

The America’s Schooner Cup Charity Regatta is hosted by Silver Gate Yacht Club and benefits the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society, which provides financial, educational, and post-combat support to members of the Naval Service, eligible family members, and survivors.
