Explore the great age of sail and steam on San Diego’s downtown waterfront. Through our award-winning educational programs, children relive history and learn about the science of the sea. We offer a variety of programs for K-12 school groups, scouts, families, and adults. Unique to the Maritime Museum is our ability to offer on-the-water adventures, including day sails and longboat rowing — perfect for youth or adult team-building programs.

Go rowing on San Diego Bay, get hands-on experience working the sailing technology of Star of India, and explore our diverse collection of ships.

We offer a variety of dockside and sailing programs for Scouting and other youth organizations.

Enjoy a three-hour day sail on San Diego Bay, where you will hoist sails, take the helm, and learn to tie the knots we use aboard ship.

A 1.5-hour interactive tour of our historic ships, tailored to your grade level and curriculum needs, with an optional San Diego Bay cruise.
