About the Concert
For more than two decades, “Flan” — former San Diego Padres player, MLB broadcaster, musician, and philanthropist —
has made this holiday concert a San Diego tradition. Backed by his ace band, The Lunatic Fringe, his songs and stories
come alive aboard Star of India, the oldest active sailing ship in the world.
About Tim Flannery
Tim “Flan” Flannery is a former Major League Baseball player, celebrated broadcaster,
and accomplished singer-songwriter. Backed by his band The Lunatic Fringe,
he blends bluegrass, country, and rock into heartfelt performances filled with stories
of family, baseball, and life on the road. A longtime San Diego favorite, Flannery’s
music captures the spirit of connection and community that defines his career.
