Haunted Tales

Maritime Museum of San Diego invites guests to the annual Halloween Haunted Tales event that any aspiring ghost, goblin, pirate, and princess will enjoy.

Guests will gather on the Star of India, the world’s oldest active sailing ship, for lantern-led tours presented by the award-winning and theatrical Living History Education staff. The evening will be full of ghostly tales of enormous proportions including how a young crewman fell to his death from the rigging and creepier tales of the Star of India’s past. Guests will hear eerie legends of Star’s past on October 19 and 26, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The Haunted Tales spooky adventure is free with general admission ticket purchase to the Museum. Space is limited.

Tours start at 6:00pm, with a new group of 25 guests starting every 10 minutes, with the last tour starting at 7:30pm. The total tour takes about 30 minutes. The Haunted Tales spooky adventure is free with general admission ticket purchase to the Museum, so come early and visit our entire fleet while you wait for your spooky tour to begin!

General admission including Haunted Tales tickets are $18 for adults, seniors 62+, military with ID, and students are $13, and children (age 3-12) are $8. Children 2 and under are free. Spaces are limited.

All activities will take place at the Maritime Museum of San Diego in downtown San Diego located on the North Embarcadero at 1492 N. Harbor Drive, San Diego, CA 92101, between Ash and Grape Streets. Purchase tickets in advance or from the Museum Ticket Booth and Gift Shop. Visitors that purchase general admission tickets are welcome to explore the entire collection of historic vessels and fascinating exhibits before Haunted Tales. The Museum opens daily at 9:00am.

Kid’s Free in October passes not valid for Haunted Tales.
