Maritime And Naval History Museum Triad Launches Discount Admission Program At Downtown San Diego Attractions

SAN DIEGO, CA – Maritime Museum of San Diego, located along the north embarcadero San Diego downtown waterfront, is a nonprofit institution dedicated to preserving and celebrating the region’s rich seafaring heritage, including the world’s oldest active sailing ship Star of India, is announcing a new Triad Discount Ticket cross-promotional partnership with the USS Midway Museum and Navy SEAL Museum San Diego to include reciprocal discounted visitor admission starting March 1, 2026. According to Maritime Museum of San Diego President and CEO, Christina Connett Brophy, Ph.D., “This new Triad Discount Ticket program encourages the public to gain a greater understanding of our region’s deep roots in maritime and naval history through each institution’s perspective. We look forward to further collaborations with our wonderful maritime partners.”

The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum is the only museum dedicated exclusively to preserving the history and heritage of the Navy SEALs and their predecessors. With its flagship campus in Fort Pierce, Florida, the birthplace of the Navy Frogman, and its recently opened San Diego location, the Museum provides the public a unique opportunity to experience more than 80 years of Naval Special Warfare history in one of the communities most closely tied Naval Special Warfare and the SEAL Teams.

“Much of what SEALs do happens out of public view, which means many Americans never fully see the preparation, teamwork, and sacrifice behind the mission,” said Navy SEAL Museum San Diego Executive Director, Beef Drechsler. “Through immersive exhibits, authentic artifacts, and direct interaction with SEAL and Special Warfare Combat Crewman veteran docents, we bring that story to life in a way that informs, inspires, and deepens appreciation for those who serve. Partnerships like the Triad program help more visitors experience the full maritime and naval story that makes San Diego so unique.”

The USS Midway Museum, which opened to the public in 2004 in San Diego, stands as an enduring tribute to American naval excellence and importance of service and sacrifice. The longest-serving aircraft carrier of the 20th century, Midway is a hybrid of an attraction and museum that emphasizes the “experience” offering an immersive look into the legacy of naval aviation and the adventures of life at sea. The museum, which has welcomed 21 million visitors from around the world, also serves as a key community educational and inspirational resource. It is currently rated by Tripadvisor as the “#1 thing to do” in San Diego out of more than 950 experiences in San Diego.

“San Diego’s maritime and naval histories date back hundreds of years,” said Terry Kraft, Midway’s president and CEO. “Our museums collectively bring these amazing histories to life to more than a million visitors every year.”

Visitors simply present proof of admission purchase for one of the three Museums at the Ticket Office to receive discounted admission at one of the partnering maritime and naval history attractions. Located within a ten-to-fifteen.minute walk from each other in the popular downtown San Diego waterfront region, the new alliance is built to share an impressive immersive collection of maritime and naval history, stories, and visitor experiences more affordably with the public. The admission discount may be used the same day or the following day with proof of purchase. Savings at the three downtown San Diego locations are as follows:
