Library Donations To The Museum

The library gladly accepts donated items that conform to the scope and content of the Maritime Museum of San Diego’s guidelines for collections.  When determined to be of value to the collection, these items are incorporated into our catalogs thanks to the dedicated work of our team of volunteers.  Donated items that are already present in our library or that are determined to be beyond the scope of our collections policy are sold to generate income for the Maritime Museum.  We provide all donors with a formal deed of gift.  Potential donors should note however that we are not permitted to provide a valuation for their gift. All inquiries concerning donations should be forwarded to the librarian.
