Position opening – Educational Instructor

Join our award-winning educational program team and teach aboard San Diego’s fleet of historic tall ships! As a Living History Instructor, you will bring history alive by combining authentic, hands-on experiences for K-12 participants embarking on exciting journeys in learning staged dockside at the Maritime Museum of San Diego.

  • Employees participate in Maritime Living History programs, wearing period appropriate attire.
  • Chosen candidates must submit a Live Scan as a condition of employment.
  • Must be willing to obtain necessary certifications, including CPR and First Aid.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 25lbs unassisted.

Approximately 10-30 hours per week (varies week to week). This is a seasonal position that mirrors the traditional school year. Compensation starts at $17.33/hr with opportunity for increases.
