Economy and Ecology of San Diego Bay

Explore the history and environment of San Diego’s most unique feature — San Diego Bay! Students will perform water quality experiments off-the-dock aboard one of our historic boats, while also gaining a greater understanding of the bay’s economic history and the vital role its resources play in our city’s economy.

Elementary Physics and the Mechanics of Seafaring

Explore the concepts of motion, force, work, and energy aboard Star of India. Using the ship’s simple and complex machines, this interactive workshop provides students with hands-on demonstrations of basic concepts in physics.
