San Diego, CA (May 23, 2017) — Maritime Museum of San Diego, home to one of the world’s finest collections of historic vessels, from sail to steam to submarine, hosts the first annual Sea Glass Festival and Mermaid Ball. Guests will enjoy various artistic works including jewelry, home décor and accessories, wind chimes and much more. Jewelry making demonstrations are also scheduled throughout the day. Complimentary general admission to the Museum is included with the festival ticket purchase.

That evening, the Museum welcomes adults 21 and up to the Mermaid Ball for dancing, food, entertainment, and the crowning of a new Mermaid Ball Queen. Tickets for the daytime festival and evening ball range from $8-$30. Event and ticket information will be available on our site,

Maritime Museum of San Diego admission provides freedom to explore the Museum’s range of ten historic maritime vessels plus all artifact, photographic, nautical, model, and interactive exhibits found within vessel interiors. The vessel collection includes the National Historic Landmark Ferry boat Berkeley, the world’s oldest working sailing ship Star of India and HMS Surprise, legendary replica of 18th century Royal Navy frigate Rose.
