Honolulu, HI – After a 2,800-mile voyage from Hawaiʻi to Northern California using traditional non-instrument navigation, Polynesian voyaging canoe Hikianalia and her crew have been sailing down the coast of California and will be making a final stop in San Diego, Oct. 30-Nov. 15 at the Maritime Museum of San Diego. The canoe made its first landfall at Half Moon Bay on Sept. 10, 2018, and has made stops in San Francisco, Sausalito and Ventura County. Hikianalia also will be stopping in Redondo Beach, Catalina Island, and Dana Point before making her arrival into San Diego on Oct. 30. During the stop at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, the crew will host a public presentation and dockside canoe tours to share the history and legacy of Polynesian voyaging and the mission of the Polynesian Voyaging Society’s
