Guided Tours for Youth Groups hosted by the Education Department
Maritime Museum of San Diego has designed this group youth tour experience as an affordable option and introduction to our historic fleet. Guided tours for youth groups are led by trained and knowledgeable museum docents who bring history to life through storytelling and re-enactment. Tours typically encompass visits to several vessels including Star of India, HMS Surprise, San Salvador, B-39 Soviet-era submarine, the 1898 Victorian-era steam ferryboat Berkeley and the 1904 Medea. Time will also be spent in our galleries and exhibits focused on a wide variety of maritime topics and displayed within the collection of vessels.
