Festival of Sail is an annual event with something for everyone. Fun for the Entire Family.
Festival of Sail is the LARGEST Tall Ship festival on the west coast and is hosted at the Maritime Museum of San Diego, transforming the North Embarcadero over Labor Day weekend into a nautical theme park.
Parade of Sail is Friday September 4th 2015.
Parade of Sail
Every year we start off Festival of Sail with a Parade. Sail from the mouth of San Diego Bay, past Shelter Island, Harbor Island, Downtown, and back to the Maritime Museum.
Join in the fun Friday Sept 4th, 12:30 to 5:00pm.
Your ticket to a world of sail. Good for any one day during Festival of Sail.
Bay Cruises aboard Pilot
Take a special Festival of Sail 30 minute Historic Bay Cruise aboard Pilot, our 1914 pilot boat.
Pilot is the oldest active pilot boat in the country.
Come Join the crews of the Tall Ships and revel in the experience of tall ship sailing while we engage opposing ships in a mock Cannon battle on the bay. Two ships leave but only one comes back victorious.
Two battles per day. Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Sept 5-7. 10:30am to 1:30pm & 2:30 to 5:30pm
Take a special Festival of Sail 2 hour Mid-day Sail aboard a classic sailboat.
A portion of the afternoon Tall Ship cannon battles is viewable by the Mid-Day Sail.
